Auckland’s newest conference centre opens!

The new Sir Noel Robinson Conference Centre

Introducing the Sir Noel Robinson Conference Centre

After much anticipation, Vodafone Events Centre is pleased to announce the opening of the Sir Noel Robinson Conference Centre.

The new conference centre offers state of the art design which allows natural daylight and features 1,260 sqm of pillarless floor space. The hall can be divided by movable walls and provide a number of configurations to as many as six separate rooms. Each space has excellent natural light as well as indoor/outdoor flow plus black out drapes when projection is required.

Being on ground level, the new venue complements the events centre’s arena and theatre. Add this to the arena’s flexible 3,000 sqm exhibition and banqueting space and to the theatre’s 700 seating capacity, it now presents the country’s largest single flat floor, purpose-built conference centre.

“We’re thrilled with the early bookings of the Sir Noel Robinson Conference Centre to date. We are sure our conference delegates will enjoy state of the art conference facilities and exciting team building activities on the water; all in one venue,” says Karyn Spencer, sales manager of the centre.

The new facility also promises corporates a “work hard, play hard” venue and a unique experience. Finishing touches are likewise being applied to Wero Whitewater Park, New Zealand’s newest adventure hub being constructed beside the event centre. The park includes a 200m Grade 1 course for basic skills development, a 300m Grade 3/4 course that pumps an equivalent of an Olympic pool every three minutes, or 14,000 litres a second, and the world’s biggest controllable waterfall with a 4.5m drop into a 7m deep pool.

Due to open in April 2016, Wero will offer team building and corporate packages to inject adrenalin after a day around the conference table!

Quality event partners – Austin’s Food Design Events and Multi Media Systems, further enhance the conference experience.

The new conference centre is now available for bookings. And as an opening special, events hosted in any of the venues before 31 March 2016 will receive special opening rates.
