New features at MEETINGS 2021

A Destination Zone featuring scheduled regional updates was one of the new features of MEETINGS in 2021 in early June.

Set in theatre-style seating and delivered through a silent conferencing system using headsets, delegates will hear first-hand news and updates direct from New Zealand’s convention bureaux and business events experts. Live on the show-floor, each of 18 regions will present in a 10-minute slot hosted by Tourism New Zealand.

Also happening live on the show floor across the two days was a new speaker series hosted by Celebrity Speakers and showcasing Its most in-demand speakers who are experts in today’s on-trend subjects.

The line-up included stress management and mindfulness guru, Jase Te Patu; well-known and respected psychologist, Nigel Latta; the first woman to officially register in the Boston marathon,  Kathrine Switzer; Christchurch earthquake survivor and now entrepreneur, Matty Lovell; high-profile science leader and the founder of Nanogirl Labs, Dr Michelle Dickinson (MNZM); and health and wellbeing speakers Dr Denise Quinlan and Dr Lucy Hone.
