Ōtautahi Christchurch has won the rights to host the inaugural Golf Matters 2022, New Zealand Golf Conference and Expo in August at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre.
The first conference of its kind in New Zealand – and possibly the world – will bring together all sectors of the golf industry which has seen a huge boost in the past two years, despite a global pandemic.
Golf Matters 2022, New Zealand Golf Conference and Expo, is an initiative of the New Zealand Golf Industry Council (NZGIC) whose members include Golf New Zealand, the New Zealand PGA, Golf Managers Association and the New Zealand Golf Course Superintendents Association.
Set to take place from 8 to 10 August 2022 at Te Pae Christchurch, the programme will provide critical insights and lively debate on issues facing the golf industry now and into the future. Delegates will be encouraged to stay and play pre and post the event.
The Canterbury and Christchurch region boasts four experience courses and one marquee course, as well as dozens of city and country courses suitable to all players. Clearwater Golf Club, host of several New Zealand Women’s Open Championships, is one of New Zealand’s best examples of target golf, providing both scenery and challenge.
