We’re excited to introduce ‘Wayfare’, the new brand for South Island experiential tourism company Real Journeys, in this newsletter. Wayfare now comprises five tourism brands – Cardrona Alpine Resort, Treble Cone, Go Orange, the International Antarctic Centre, and Real Journeys.
Among Real Journeys’ offerings for business events is Rakaura / Stewart Island. Whether staying for a day, or overnight, delegates can opt for a village and bays tour, or explore predator-free Ulva Island with its rare native plants and rich birdlife. For delegates staying into the evening, there’s the opportunity to see the Southern Brown Kiwi (Rakiura Tokoeka) searching for food in its natural habitat.
The beautiful six-guestroom, bed and breakfast Stewart Island Lodge is nestled in native bush on a sunny hillside five minutes’ walk from Oban village. Delegates can mix with the locals at the small pub or restaurants.
Real Journeys offers an express catamaran for an hour-long scenic trip from Bluff to Stewart Island where delegates will likely sea albatross soaring above. (Coach transfers to and from Invercargill hotels can be arranged).
